Job Description
Advocate Health, one of the nation's largest and most respected health systems, is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Full-Time EMS Physician to join our physician-led medical group at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan, WI. This role combines both EMS responsibilities and clinical care, offering an exceptional opportunity for professional growth in a supportive environment.
 
Position Highlights
  • Full-Time Employed Position: Split evenly between .5 FTE as EMS Medical Director and .5 FTE as an ED Physician.
  • Dynamic EMS Team: Join an active EMS team that includes an EMS physician, EMS executive director, and seasoned EMS educators.
Broad EMS Involvement:
  •  Tactical EMS involvement with local and federal agencies.
  •  Oversee two county 911 center EMD programs.
  •  Field response vehicles for real-time education and oversight.
  •  Participate in county public health programs and mass gatherings like Milwaukee Brewers games and Summerfest.
  •  Engage in a high-fidelity simulation program.
Clinical Position Details
  • High-Volume ED: 30,000 annual ED visits with high-acuity cases in a tertiary care setting.
  • Efficient Workload: Well-staffed ED with an average of fewer than 1.8 patients per hour.
  • Team Environment: Be part of a close-knit group of emergency medicine physicians with dedicated nocturnist coverage, resulting in very few night shifts.
  • Specialist Support: Access to a full range of specialty support and a strong primary care interface.
  • Shifts: Approximately 65 clinical hours per month, with a mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts.
