The Advocate Memory Center is located at Lutheran General Hospital-a level 1 trauma center, teaching hospital and comprehensive stroke center in Park Ridge, IL (a suburb of Chicago and conveniently located near O’Hare airport).

Location: Expanding from Park Ridge, IL to the North, South, and Southwest Suburbs of Chicago

About Us:
The Advocate Health Memory Center, a leader in dementia care, education, and research, is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Neurologist to join our esteemed team. Our center, part of the GUIDE program for dementia care, is expanding to enhance our comprehensive approach to brain health. We are committed to diagnosing and treating memory loss diseases, including Alzheimer's and other dementias, using a sophisticated, multidisciplinary approach.
 
Job Description:
This ambulatory focused position offers the opportunity to be part of a respected team dedicated to patient-centered care. With possible limited inpatient service depending on the candidate, there is the option of protected time to participate in clinical trials and investigator-initiated research. Our Memory Center is supported by experienced physicians, neuropsychologists, research staff, and a social worker, fostering a collaborative environment for comprehensive dementia care.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide compassionate care for patients with Alzheimer's and other dementias, supporting their care partners.
  • Engage in clinical, educational, and research activities to advance dementia care.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to offer holistic and integrated care plans. Main memory center site is at Advocate Lutheran General however multiple other sites in need of development/satellite clinics. Practice locations for those open to discussion.
  • Educate families, colleagues, and staff across the system on dementia care practices.
       
Training and/or Experience:
  • Board Certification in Neurology with fellowship training/UCNS Board Certification/Eligibility in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry preferred.
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, or Family Practice with fellowship training in Behavioral Neurology or Geriatrics and Board certification/eligibility w plans to certify may also be considered.
  • Neurology candidates pursuing Behavioral Neurology certification through the practice track will be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a team-based environment.
 
Position highlights
  • Competitive 2 year Salary Guarantee in the range of $340,000-$380,000.  Placement in the starting range is based on training, experience, certifications etc and will be based on candidates qualifications.
