Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Advocate Midwest Region Neuro Oncology  team serving patients at our Wisconsin site at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.  Our Midwest Region Neurology program is under the directorship of Dr. Nina Paleologos, who in addition to leading Neurology, is also a nationally recognized leader in Neuro Oncology.  As one of over 120 Neurologists across IL and WI you will be supported by a dedicated leadership team and physician-led and governed medical group of over 4,000 physicians in 27 hospitals and over 500 sites of care.

Aurora St. Luke Medical Center, Milwaukee WI-is a comprehensive stroke center and the tertiary care and regional referral center for Advocate Aurora in Wisconsin. St. Luke’s Medical Center is a 900+bed teaching hospital-the largest in Wisconsin. 

Program Highlights:
  • This clinical position is for our Wisconsin site at Advocate Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center 
  • Multidisciplinary Neuro Oncology Clinic
  • Supported by nursing, APRN, PA, and other clinical and operational support staff.
  • Ample clinic space in a dedicated suite. 
  • Other Neuro Oncology providers present locally and regionally. 
  • No requirement for general Neurology unless wished for by the candidate.
  • Broad and established referral base provides a wide range of complex cases
  • Neuro Oncology Neurosurgery support with the ability to perform awake craniotomies
  • State of the art neuroimaging and neuro radiology 
  • Collaborative Radiation Oncologists. Stereotactic radiosurgery
  • Epic EMR
  • Active Neuro Oncology clinical trial program with designated coordinators
  • The Advocate Aurora Research Institute (Midwest) is a NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP)-one of 46 institutions in the US.  
  • Our Cancer programs have received over 15 million dollars awarded in the past 11 years.  We are members of ECOG, NRG, Alliance, COG, Wake Forest and University of Rochester Cancer Center.  We get SWOG protocols through CTSU.  
  • BTTC and NCI Connect membership through our Illinois program with Dr Paleologos and those trials also available to Wisconsin Neuro Oncologists.
  • The Advocate Research Institute supports 28 cancer centers with 44 coordinators, 5 regulatory team members and 5 project coordinators.
  • Regional Neuro Oncology quality council, and two state wide Neuro Oncology Tumor Boards.
  • Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line
  • Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature

Compensation-Benefits and more
  • Guaranteed Salary in the range of $400,000-$440,000.  Placement in the range is based on training, experience, certifications etc and will be based on the candidate's qualifications

Training and/or experience required 
  • Board Certification in Neurology and preferably 2-year fellowship in Neuro Oncology 
  • Experienced physicians and fellows encouraged to apply
